Use cases for tables & lists

Hi all,

I am doing some research on use cases for tables and lists within GameSalad. (Something I've personally wanted to implement within GameSalad for a very long time.)

If you are an advanced user or an instructor that teaches with GameSalad, what are some particular circumstances in which would you find tables and lists useful? Understanding these cases will help us to determine the most efficient way or user-friendly way to introduce this functionality.

Thanks,
Lex

I think a table would be very helpful for assigning variables/loading/saving attributes. For instance, if I have 3 stars to collect on every level, I have to save Level1Stars > Best1Stars, Level2Stars > Best2Stars, etc AND THEN load them key: Best2Stars > Best2Stars. This ends up being very tedious when you have to open up the expression editor and scroll down when there are 100's of attributes. If there was a table or a list where you can type in variables to load/save it would speed up the process a lot.

Also the use of that would help make word games possible as now you have to do a roundabout way of saving an image to an attribute and loading it rather then just being able to type words into a list, like a dictionary in python.

I want to write a game which involves going backwards and forwards in time to make changes to your strategy. Without the ability to record multiple historical states for an actor in a list I don't think I can make this game in GameSalad. That makes me a very sad time traveller.
