Regarding Forum and Cookbook

Hello everyone,

i think the that the cookbook has no justification of life besides the forum, if the forum overall functionality would be better. In this state both are a pain to navigate and search. For example. Why cant I edit my own threads to post the solution of my problem in the first thread or collect information of a very long thread? Another thing that is bothering me: Why isnt the search function on every page of the forum and why do i always get an error message if i navigate from a thread to the forum root? Why cant i vote on Threads? I could go on for hours...

How about a standard forum software? The have a plethora of features which could make life in the Gamesalad community much easier.

    The forums just got an upgrade, and they are still working out some of the kinks. Just this morning I noticed they fixed the profiles. It'll be some time before everything gets worked out.

    You have a certain amount of time to edit a thread, and after that time, you just have to make another post in your own thread if you want to edit any information already posted. It's a little annoying at times, but it's not a deal breaker or anything.

    I don't have a problem personally with the Cookbook page, but then again I don't use it that much. I get information that I need from the youtube Cookbook page before I look at the Cookbook page that is part of the website. It's brand new, and it will continue to grow and get better I believe. But right now, I have no use for it, personally.

    Search function not being on every page is annoying, and it has always been difficult to find information relevent to what you are looking for. I hope that gets fixed sometime soon.

    The Cookbook is to serve a different porpose. In the past everyday the same questions are asked. This is where the Cook Book Helps greatly. The porpose of the cookbook is for people to ask somewhat less complicated questions that should have a somewhat straight forward answer.

    So How Do I Make a button. Can be asked there and an answer given with is easily available to everyone in the future.

    I have noticed Questions like I have this actor moving this way and another actor moving this way and I want it so that when this actor collides with the other it spawns a specific actor based on the positions of the actors when they collide. asked on the cookbook and those questions need to be on the forum. because they will take trouble shoting and questions to get an idea of what needs to be done.

    The cookbook is for a Question and Answer

    The Forum is for conversation.

    It will be very useful once they get their site working right and everyone begins to understand the use for each.

    I always thought the full drag and drop made my life alot easier ;)
