★★★ UK Knees Up ★★★
Wayne and I have been talking about a UK meet but wondering where and when and if you would like to?
As it's the summer holidays we thought it would be a great chance for the younger members to come along.
The 1st round of beers, fizzy pop is on Wayne (I haven't told him yet though lol)...i will get the 2nd round in:P
Darren & Wayne.

We can all show off some things in development (if I can get them a bit more finished), geekily talk about games, indie development, app store, marketing and favorite beers and let it slowly turn into a drunken mess arguing over whether Mario Kart was better on the SNES, or the N64... (the answer is the SNES of course)
Midlands, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Loughborough would suite as coming from Bristol, but going down the M4 london direction aint to much of a problem, not too keen on going North England or East Anglia but thats mainly becuase of the distance.
Im flexable about dates,
thats 2 all come on the london massive get voting

I take it Deep Blue Apps will obviously be paying for everyones drinks ... :-)
@Stormy...yeah I'm sure Wayne and I will treat you
Darren.
I know London is the capital, and has a sizable chunk of the population, but there's still a big wide world of people outside it's borders. Surely londoners know how to use the train or get in a bloody car the same as the rest of us!
The midlands is more central as in its in the middle of the Country but its certainly not more 'central' for me..... it would be a long old trip for me...
I live south of London (not a Londoner)... its a 35 minute train ride to London Waterloo for me...which is obviously fine.
I guess if this one happens else where, and some of us can't make it...there's no reason not to organize a London meet at another time...
interesting Poll...be cool to create an interactive map so we can see everyones rough locations ...
So what about this Saturday 6th, just spoke to Wayne and although it's short notice we can both make that date.
Darren.
Yeah I'll buy you all drink !
I think it's gonna be best if we can arrange 3 meet-ups so everyone can come along, over a bunch of weekends.
I would suggest we arrange a meet-up for the NORTH, MIDLANDS and SOUTH.
- Saturday 6th August - MIDLANDS (LOUGHBOROUGH) - Drinks on Darren & Wayne all day (upto £200) ! - And a few snacks :-)
- Saturday 13th August - LONDON
- Saturday 20th August - NORTH (Need more feedback to arrange this one)
Also the idea was for a general get together for all, not just us oldies who like a beer. So if your a lil bit younger ask your parents to come-along, or get them to email us. We'll arrange a meeting place that suits everyone.
If the dates don't 100% suit - just come along for an hour or 2 and say hi!
Cheers
Wayne
