save game state on exit

sorry to double post but I can't find my old post. someone linked a video that showed how to save the game state when you exit the game. Does that happen automatically in 0.9.6? If not could someone repost the link to that video in cookbook? Thanks.

    You should make it so that when something that you are saving changes (the value of it) then save the game.
