its Slava, from SplashFoxGames, who was your opponent on the contest. I was wanting to tell few things. First of all you haven't loosed anything, its a fresh startup site with tournament, that just using developers to promote themselfs, so its not a big traffic. I don't mean they are bad, but I mean they have just started, so the first tournament will not have so much public interest. I want to win there just as experiment to see how it can turns out. Its not a contest, when someone pushing people to vote, I was doing the same, I just got some more votes because have channels of people, where to ask for votes. Also I want to describe about Zombilution game in compare to Impossiball. I believe its selling similar to other small games. Its few sells per day (there is paid iphone, paid ipad and in-app), but still its kind of few bucks per day. As free version the game total got up to 100k downloads, but its not changing anything, because in-app making just few sales. So shortly saying you win just because you don't need to make custom votes in next rounds, but I must now to continue and borring people with votes. Probably I will loose few friends after this contest)). Anyway if I'll win I'll let you know is that helped to sales, but Im sure, it will not. There are just tooo much games on appstore and its hard to get and hold good positions. I hope this or some your new game will reach top paid even without contest ; ) good luck with development!
vklymenko, congrats on winning the first round. My first round was pretty easy but I am having the same experience as you. No extra sales what so ever, I wouldn't pay to be in this tournament so far.
Also, some of the better apps are not making it through. It is clear that the website's goals are getting more hits, and not having a clean contest to truly help devs out. I'm still voting for the best apps, so I'll probably vote for yours again (sry diegocs, I voted for the app I liked best, that is how the contest is supposed to be :P).
Anyways, I hope one of us wins the tournament so we can tell our gameSalad friends how it goes. And diegocs, I know I don't have to tell you because you experienced it for yourself. So far, you have not lost a thing. This tournament has not brought any of the things they are advertising, and if I had paid to be in it, I would feel pretty ripped off right now.
