Using only GameSalad

I set up my apple dev account a while back and was planning on only buying games and turning my ideas into games. However, I am now trying to learn GS. If I am only going to use GS, do I need to download the apple dev tools? Maybe I am mistaken but it seemed like I had an option to download something when I first signed up but at the time I did not have a Mac.

    u don't need xcode if you don't want to test it

    What about uploading to apple? Will application loader work without Xcode?

    Application loader will not work without Xcode because you have to install your developer certificates in Xcode. Without the developer certificates, Gamesalad will not be able to sign your app and it will fail in the application loader.

    I agree. Also something to add on to my last post regarding tenrdrmer's post, You can't even install the application loader now without installing Xcode. Apple changed their polices. Now the application loader is part of the developer tools that come with Xcode instead of a separate download.
