How do I get my sprite to "stand" on a moving platform?

What title says, but rather than just standing on it, I meant to stand on it without needing to move side to side with the platform. I have rather complex moving rules that are mixed with the animations of the different movements of the character. And if it helps, it seems to think that it is always in the air when it is in fact on the platform which is moving (right or left) out from underneath it.

More concisely put, how do I get it to understand that its feet are firmly and securely planted on the Motion-platform?

you need to probably add a tag... so instead of actor overlaps/collides with actor play animation etc. .... change it to the generic floor tag...actor overlaps/collides with tag: floor.
