So I was at an arcade last night and could not believe what I saw.



Thats right a 42" touch panel $1.00 per 60 seconds of play version of Fruit Ninja.

I got to thinking man it wouldn't even be that hard to build something like that. Just create a mac app version and Pack a mac mini behind a coins slot and your good to go.

Yeah that's awesome if I have a really popular game and it involves touch I would have 1 of those in my house

On reading your posting I have been off to look at touch screen monitor prices... Seems about $2000 is the bottom price for a 42". Then 150 bucks for the coin mech.

Can you imagine something like this on the xbox kinect or the wii? I think they got Fruit ninja on the kinect but I'm not sure. Thats awesome!

OK. This is the concept. I went to a bar in London and they had beer taps at the table. There was a meter on the tap and you got your bill when you left. It was pretty magical as all you had to do was place your glass under that tap and it auto filled it with some kind of magic eye to check it didn't over pour. But beer taps at the table are getting pretty common apparently (haven't seen them before)...

So we combine a games system with the beer supply and a coin op to run the whole thing in a table and booth. People come in and sit down with friends and then play all evening for beer and if they fail that pay for the beer. I am sure we can adjust the 'randoms' and game difficulty so we can keep a really good margin. It might not be as crazy as it sounds. Not sure of the legality of gambling for prizes of alcohol but there has to be a warm destination where it is.
