Although GameSalad technically does not require you to do any programming, it is certainly helpful to THINK like a programmer to get the most out of the software.

I have found a great online lecture series here:

It is actually the Intro to Programming course at Stanford University. The course is geared towards people with absolutely no programming experience at all. The only prerequisite is the ability to turn on a computer!

The entire semester of lectures has been filmed and put online. It is 100% free to watch. It's filmed as though you are in the classroom. And there's even homework if you're so inclined!

Anyway, this is a great way to take a college-level intro to programming course at one of the best universities in the world - for free!
