Hey GS World.

Just thought I'd post to share my child like excitement of the fact I've finally got round to buying a top end games console... (not quite as powerful as a PS3 I know)

I've just bought an Xbox 360 60 Gb with 2 games (Call of Duty Bad Company, and some racing game), wireless controller, HDMI lead, head set, wifi adaptor, and all in good condition for £65.00.... bargain...

Need to go and buy Batman Arkum Asylum ("research for my Dark Asylum game")

...

I've got 3 nights home alone (wife and kids away) and instead of doing any DIY or even any GameSalad work. I'm pencilling in 3 long evenings of playing Batman... and just having fun enjoying the world of Xbox Live and whatever it offers....

...
I'm sure I'll still get a few minutes of GameSalad tinkering in somewhere...

Cheers

from one excited 29 year old.

Jon

I use onlive.com for all my "research" needs. No console required, always state of the art. :)

Hey Orbz...yeah I've been using OnLive at work... very very cool... but my internet connection at home is a bit too slow for it at the moment.

I own all the consoles but tend to not play them much, however I do play at least three games of BlackOps every night.

Onlive is available for UK now? Good. Hopefully Mass Effect 3 and the new Deus X will be on it.

I don't think my macbook or old pc would be able to cope...! Well, not unless tick all the 'ok my computer is too crappy for all your fancy effects' boxes in the graphics options.

@Honey Tribes... the main point of Onlive is that it doesn't matter how crappy your pc or mac is... as long you have a decent internet speed it will work like a top of the range pc for gaming...

iPad version coming at some point...

I really like Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise! Just tell your wife that the kid will like it because it's bright and happy. :) (Not the best research for Dark Asylum though.)

Arkum Asylum was great! Can't wait for the sequel. Enjoy your Xbox!

It's actually really nice to start so late because you can play so many great games on the cheap.

Yeah, that's what I meant. My computers prob couldn't handle the retail versions. So I'd like to see ME3 and Deus Ex come out through OnLive :)

@stormystudio That's great. I game on the PS3 & Xbox 360 too. Arkham Asylum was a great game, definitely looking forward to Arkham City along with many other titles later this year.
I'm sure you've probably heard of the Mass Effect games, but if you haven't and like futuristic space games definitely check those out. Anyways, have fun!

Congrats on your purchase! You should try out "Limbo" on the Xbox Marketplace, a really unique game!

I played the Batman game awhile back, I may have to get back into it again, it was superb :)
