Over-The-Air Update on iOS5

So just wanted to report today that I Got to use over the air updates for the iOS 5 Beta 5 and must say It worked perfectly and was freaking easier and faster than any iOS update I have ever had. One download of 128 MB and it installed automatically. no wiping my apps out or anything.

So For those of you not updating to the beta for that reason looks like in the future your first update will be the only time that is needed. Gonna do the iPad here in a few and hope it go's just as smooth.

i think iOS 5 v5 is probably just to prevent people from selling the ios5 to unsuspected poor guys.

i just did that is, as you say, the most painless update EVER!
Looks like ~ 131 MEG were needed.

If only apple did everything that clever

yeah its pretty sweet..

and if you download an app on iTunes it pops up saying to download it on the device too (wirelessly..) It may already have been doing this before but its the first time I've experienced it.

Yeah that's some of the new iCloud stuff. It's all pretty sweet. I disabled the auto download option since you can just go to updates and pick anything you have available that's not on your phone. I don't want my phone downloading everything my wife downloads to hers. I also have not decided but I would like little more control over the photo stream options. My wife takes lots of pictures and don't really care to see all of them but I would like to beable to choose to send certain photos to the photo stream to share. But oh well they're getting there.
