Review websites

I'm new to putting my games on the app store (actually I haven't put any on it yet :D), but I was wondering whether websites like pocket gamer and gamesebo will rate apps on their own, or do you suggest them to be rated?

Thanks!

If they know about your game and they think it's newsworthy they'll write about it.

So it's best to try and cover all your bases. Start telling people about your game as you're making it. Although at a stage where it looks good. And post on relevant forums.

See if you can get preview articles written by the review sites.

If not, when it's finished send them your press release and promo codes.

It's hard though, they get more game submissions than they can write about. So your game has to stand out to them in some way.
