2D Game

I am planing on making a 2D iPhone game. I want it to be a top down shooter. I am new to programming and everything else when it comes to making iPhone games. I want to know if this is possible and if it is, can someone help me.

    Yes this is possible :) The forums are a great help for beginners to ask all sorts of questions & if the forums can't help you, you can always purchase templates in the marketplace, or hire for project help.

    So can someone point me in the right direction?!? I am installing Snow Leopard now because it doesn't support Leopard.

    Sure is... but keep you first game simple... its easy to plan to create the next 'R-type' but lose steam half way through. if you keep it short, and simple first you will learn a lot and make lots of mistakes but it will be over quicker and then you can make your 2nd game so much better.

    also, if you need graphics, check out graphic-buffet.com (sorry for the blatant advert)
