Hello,

I would like to know how to create a start screen which should start with an 'stop' atribute.

Thanks.

    Hey @Sopapoproductions!

    Welcome to the GameSalad community!

Your question about start screens would be a great question to post in Cookbook!

If you are unfamiliar with Cookbook- GameSalad Cookbook is a Q&A environment where developers can ask and answer questions about GameSalad Creator, Viewer, HTML5 and iOS publishing, and other GameSalad-related issues.

    http://cookbook.gamesalad.com/

In Cookbook, you can search for existing questions, rate other developer’s answers up or down, add tags, follow questions, share video, screenshots, templates, and much more!
Try searching for previous Start screen questions first, and if you aren't able to find your answer- post your question there!

Cookbook is a really great tool for new GameSalad users (along with the forums, of course!).
Hope this helps and good luck with your game!

Before trying to help you, we need a little bit more information on what exactly it is you are trying to do. Otherwise, the Cookbook post will be full of back and forth chatter instead of a direct answer. If you can give a little more info here in this thread, someone can answer the question directly in the Cookbook page, and not clutter it up. And it will be useful for someone else in the future.

I don't know for sure GameSalads intention of the Cookbook page as far as question and answering, but the community is trying to keep it as clean and direct as possible.

    Hello and thanks.

All I want is to know how to "stop" at the initial scene to create a start screen! It's that simple.
On preview it goes through to the last scene.

To create a start screen, all you do Is create a new scene, place it at the beginning of the scene order, and add the art you want for the start screen, and script your buttons for navigation.

Do you have any rules in the game at all? One that could be making it jump to the next scene, and so on?

And by chance, are you pressing preview while you are working in a scene other than the start scene you have set up?

Create a Scene as your first scene in the timeline. On that scene you want to place an actor which has a rule: When Touch Pressed > Change Scene to....

As LaurenSalad suggested, visit the Cookbook for a better understanding.

I finally got it, I didn't see I could turn on/off each attribute.
Thank you for your patience. I'm new.

Glad you got it sorted out. Don't worry about being new, we all gotta start somewhere!

    And welcome to GameSalad.
