Does anyone know how to create the bounce effect?

I was watching t-shirt booths video on you tube, and he has got this really nice cool effect with his menu system. When the menu appears on the screen it has this really cool bounce effect.
I want to use this same effect, but not for a menu, but for an actor when it appears on the screen. I think it would be really cool. I have tried to figure it out, and I have tried using the change size behaviour, so to increase the size, and then to decrease the size, so it has a similar bounce effect, but it's not as visually appealing as the way t-shirt booth did it. There is a real nice flow to his effect.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this effect?
