Hello everyone. I have an opportunity for anybody interested in reviewing Apple related items on All Things Apple.

In return you can post any links you'd like on the bottom of every review you write giving you a constant stream of exposure to your apps. All the info is on the site. Like always if you are interested comment here as well so others can see the opportunity.

Thanks, Rodrigo

I purposely chose .org the reason being is .com is for COMpanies which are for profit. Unlike .org which is most commonly used for ORGanizations which are non profit. There's no hard and fast rules concerning their uses but that is what's most commonly done.

AllThingApple.org is dedicated to providing honest and fair reviews for everybody and I feel that most of the "Big" review sites are too focused on the AAA titles. It's just really hard to get exposure for smaller titles. Which in my opinion can be every bit as good as something EA puts out.

I have a few people including me that have come together as a team to maintain and grow All Things Apple but to truly tap into the wealth of apps now available were going to need people that want to volunteer their knowledge. Think of it kind of like the wikipedia of anything related to, made for, or by Apple.

They're are benefits beyond sharing as well. Every time someone reads a review you wrote they will see on the bottom of every review a bio about the author as well as a picture and any links you'd like to add. Those links can be of a game you have, your website, or social networks or all of the above.

The more and more I'm in involved with the App Store economy I've noticed it's all about your "brand". That is why Bouncing Birds! by Rodrigo Perez and Gesundheit! by Konami can come out on the exact same day and time yet Gesundheit! blasts up to the top 50 and Bouncing Birds! sinks to the bottom. People know Konami they don't know Rodrigo Perez.

You still might want to pick up the .com name anyway and have it redirect to the .org site... or I could pick it up and simply have it point to http://photics.com/category/game-reviews ...which would send accidental traffic to my site and not yours. Obviously, I'm not planning to do that, but someone else might if your site gets popular. People are in the habit of typing .com — so it is something to think about. Domains are cheap... when they're available.

That's considered a premium domain, which costs a few thousand dollars I spoke to the company that owns it.

Once I can offset the costs of the site with more advertisers then I can make the investment in a .com.

Hey Rodrigo. I know a student novelist who is an excellent writer. He is working closely with his teacher who has published many books. He is our dedicated writer in case we ever need one for a story.

I called him up and he said he is interested, but he doesn't have too much free time. He would like to know how this works. For example, does he need to review "X" amount of games per week? etc. Thank you.

    Hey there,

It's completely when you want to write, there's no limits or mandatory things of any kind. All the details are on the site. Essentially whoever is interested will get their own login and author's dashboard from which they can write reviews, save them, edit them, and submit them.

Oh, then it's probably not worth it. I'm not so sure that saving up to buy the .com name is a good idea either. It might easier to just change the name. If it's a review site with advertisements, maybe a .com domain is more fitting... and why should it be just Apple? Android support is coming to GameSalad. What if you get interested in those apps too?

It seems that your site is just starting. If you're serious about building something big, then I think it makes sense to straighten out the domain name issues now.

Ok, I'll let him know then.

I'd just like to add that he also did professional reviews for dcemu.co.uk for about a year before he went off to college. Dcemu got games straight from developers for the XBLA, PSN, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, and PC. So he is not an inexperienced reviewer ether ;)
