Question of the day: When actors don't behave

I have a gun in my game. It fires every 2 seconds. I added one animation to the actor, so when it fires every 2 seconds, the gun kicks back so it looks like it fires with force. It works just fine.

Until...

I add two of those actors on the stage. The guns and animation will work just fine the first time around, BUT, the animation of the first gun will stop working after the first time. Only the second gun will continue to kick back every 2 seconds.

When I add a third "gun" actor, the animation of the first and second gun actor will quit working after the initial animation. I even tried renaming each actor so they are not copies of each other but the same thing happens.

Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts? Thanks!

It sounds like you have a self.attribute...have you tried using a game.attribute instead for each gun?

I had a similar problem a while back and it was the self.boolean that was the problem.

    Darren.
