Tracking Data from other sources. Can it be done?

A friend ask me to build an App that tracks/pulls data from other sources.
Like if you belong to a Biker club this app should pull info for other Biker Meetings
in your area.
I don't think we can do this.

    You can't in GS currently. It's not a complex thing to do and there are tools for producing things like this with ease, but GS is just not geared towards this type of app.
