Group image assets in folder?

Is there a way to group image assets/actors in a folder? I have a lot of animations and it's becoming difficult to find actors in my image browser. I wish I could collapse or hide certain actors but I can't even figure out how to simply put certain ones in a folder. Seems like basic 1.0 functionaolity to me. Am I missing something?

    Hi jermerqua,

There is no way to group actors in folders. But there is a very good way to group them, using Actor Tags.

These can be found on the Home window in GS. Actors can be grouped with a tag name here. Then in the Scenes Editor window, there is a menu button at the bottom of the Inspector (default is "All") where you can select actors within a particular group with their tag name. Then only those actors will show up in the Actors section of the Inspector.

This is a much better way than using folders because the same actor can be in different tag groups if you want.

    :-)
