Publishing: Display Name Character Limit

So I've been thinking about this every time I publish a game for the iPhone of iPad. Some display names are too long to actually show the entire thing on the iPhone home screen. I always have to shorten my titles so that i don't get the "..." at the end. The problem is, I never know how much I have to shorten it by. I think it would be a nice feature if GS made a character limit on the display name for iPhone and iPad publishing.

For those of you who don't know what display name is, its what shows up under the icon on the home screen.

The iPhone font is not fixed-width so it is kinda hard to predict. All of the letters have different widths. A general rule that I use is 12 characters, but it totally depends what letters you have in your title. A bunch of capital W's or lower case i's will make a big difference for example.

Simply make a development or an adhoc build of your game to see what works.

But yeah, it would be a cool little tool to test that ahead of time.
