I'm for this, just about to post the same idea. But if we could hold down the mouse button and drag to select a section of actors, or command+click, or shift+click to select multiple actors would be a big help!
Yes, now this would be helpful. The use would be to move a bunch of actors at one time. i.e. if you use custom font for the score, and have 5 scores with 6 digits each, then you have to move 20 actors one at a time. But, if we had the ability to drag the mouse to select multiple actors and then move them all at once, this would be a huge help.
As a first pass: How about creating an actor (semi transparent) that would act as a selection box. When the user clicks and drags the mouse, the box would grow and shrink (like a regular selection box on the mac desktop). When the user releases the mouse, any actors within the selection box (that is, any that collide with the selection box) are moveable. Using another mouse-drag within the selection box, all the items would be moved.
