Trouble Dragging and Dropping (New to gamesalad)

I just got my mac mini (2011 version) and I'm having an issue so ridiculous that I must be doing something wrong.
I'm running through the Paddle Game Tutorial and I'm unable to drag anything (aka: drag the paddle.png to the drag image here area). I'm embarrassed to ask but I can't seem to figure out why I can't drag anything around in the program.
The same happens if I attempt to drag an actor to an actor tag. It seems like I just don't have any drag and drop functionality. Thanks for any help you can provide me with!

Place the image inside the actor.

thanks for your help :P Turns out I actually did create an actor *whew* thanks to the tutorial. I just ended up restarted my computer and now everything works fine o.O
I guess the case of the drag and drop is solved for the moment!
