Thinking of using AppMakr to create an app that promotes my GS games. Thoughts?

Hi guys,

This is not a "leaving GS for some other SDK" post. I love GS and have no plans of using anything else for game making. I saw this free app making website and thought it could be a way to promote my sciTunes brand. Basically I would make a free app that draws content from my Facebook, twitter, youtube, rss, etc. to inform teachers, parents, home schoolers, etc. (anyone who uses my games and music to teach/learn science) about updates, new games on my website, other new content etc.

Anyone tried something like this?

Thoughts?

Suggestions?

It looks shiny enough. I say go for it.

I think if you have enough content (and it's updated frequently), it'd be a good marketing tool.

@scitunes: I heard of App Maker a while back, but then I found GS and was hooked. While I don't have plans to leave GameSalad, it does sound like a good marketing technique. Let me know how it works out for you, along with any other details you want to share (cost, downloads, etc.)

I'll report back on this after I use it (other priorities first), but it does say that it is free. I will have to look closely to see if any strings are attached.

Anyone else actually make an app with this?
