Can I change the amount of hitpoints lost depending on where a character is hit?

I have any idea on how to do this. Would it be efficient to add invisible actors to 4 body locations and when they are hit, the front of the car gets the most damage, with the back getting the least damage. Also the car rotates (when turns so would I have to rotate those too?

Any other way/tips?
