Theres a full comparison chart on our website showing the differences between the Lite and Paid version.

Easily create custom iOS icons in an instant using our Icon Creator Tool. The tool allows you to build up different layers for your icon, using built in graphics. Or import new graphic packs to extend your customisation*.

Quickly click and select different images for the background, backdrops, overlays etc. Then add a border effortlessly. Once your happy with your design, export it out as a series of PNG files all correct to size.
With the Full version, you can control the direction of Gradient backgrounds and further retouch and enhance your created icon, using Sharpen tools, retouching, Blurring, Sepia effects plus many more.

    Just wondering - why do you want to make a free version if the paid is so cheap? Free version will make more sense if the paid is for 15-25 GBP.

    I agree with TheMoonWalls!..... £25 it is..

    Seriously though, we want to bring the tools to as many people as possible and get your feedback. If a handful of people want to buy the £3 version in the future that's great. Also, In the future we will be selling additional graphic packs etc which will be extra.

    @Beefy, we are working on lots of different projects and updates to the other tools. The DBA Icon Creator is part of a new line up of 'creative' tools we are developing. There's lots more on the way.

    DBA Icon Creator
    We've added some new features to the tool including:

    Component Layers Export
    - This option will export out each of the Layers that built up the 512x512 icon. User can then create a PSD file or GIMP etc to work on each layer individually.

    Export Options improved
    - User can select which of the Icons to export: iPad, iPhone etc or all of them

    Background Layer
    - Added Vertical Gradient option
    - Added Horizontal Gradient option
    - Added Radial Gradient option
    - User can change the Radial Gradient to create interesting effects

    Retouch Mini Icons
    - Added an option for the user to enhance the smaller icons, pre export.
    This option allows the user to Sharpen, Blur, change Contrast to the smaller icons, as sometimes when they are reduced they loose some fidelity and detail.

    Will be finalised soon.

    Wow...tool looks amazing...

    It would be great if it is available at the MacAppStore...then it's easier to buy...then we can buy it with our Apple ID.

    Hope it is available soon :)

    No they should sell on their website for a cheaper fee but sell on the MAS for more expensive. This isnt strictly limited to GS so why limit the sales? Having said that, to sell on the MAS you'll probably need to sell at 69p to compete with the other similar tools on the store.

    Nice tool!

    I just downloaded it and have added my icon pack and it works beautifully.

    It would be good if you will add the ability to edit (rotate and position) all the images and not only the user imported ones. For example if you add the ability to rotate them you can use the same ribbon in different orientations.

    By the way I think there might be a little bug in the tool: after I imported my pack the overlay images are shown with a white background and not the grey one I added on them.

    Hi Everyone,

    There's a new update [ Version 1.1 ]. It's available on the Full version and has the following updates:

    DBA Icon Creator Version 1.1

    New: You can now rotate each of the Library images in 90° steps for even more variety:
    - Rotate Background, 90° Steps
    - Rotate Overlays, 90° Steps
    - Rotate Borders, 90° Steps
    - Rotate HD Borders, 90° Steps
    - Rotate Badges, 90° Steps

    Fix: An error when using 3rd Party Library OVERALYS:
    The Preview was not displaying correctly - Now Resolved in 1.1.
    Thanks MarkOnTheIron for your time and working with us to resolve the issue.

    Just seen MarkOnTheIron's Graphic Pack implemented - looks very good and certainly enhances the creativity with icon creation. Good Job.

    Hi Everyone,

    [Version 1.2] released.

    We've added a new feature to the DBA Icon Generator [Version 1.2].

    You can now export out the final icons with a Round Mask as an option. To download, click the [Check for Updates] Button.

    Also, DebugDesign and MarkOnTheIron have created some cool Icon Backgrounds, banners etc.. check them out too.
