odd 0.8.1 spawn problem

hi.. just installed 8.1

I have an actor in my game that spawns another actor every 5 seconds
When i hit preview, it never spawns any actors......however.....if I use the play button in the sceen editor, it looks to be working properly.
Also doesn't seem to be spawning in a web preview.

I have a similar issue but it doesn't spawn in my again at all. Not even in the preview.

I have a spawn issue too!
All works in 0.7.0
