Need more downloads...can anyone help??

My app don't get very many downloads. I first made it $.99 but made it free now and about 600 downloads (most from it being free) since July 31, 2011 and i was going to re-do the graphics. would that make it get more downloads?? is there anything else i can do to get more downloads??

    Updates. I get a surge of downloads every time I update my game. Even if it's something super simple like a tweak. Also, change your icon. For some reason icon changes cause a surge of downloads. Even if it's just a super-minor change to the icon, it still registers as an icon change.

    Also, you could advertise.

    how could i advertise? like on iAd?? what would a cheap way to advertise my app?

    re-doing the graphics might help. But once you have dropped off the release lists and your app didn't rank well then your chances of getting noticed are very very slim.

    You can send promo codes to all the various review websites. You need a video of gameplay for them to do it. AND, it has to look good. I've not seen your game so I can't comment on it if it's a decent game or not.

    ok.. i tried to get a promo code but it didn't work.. can you tell me how or put a like to a video showing me how to get a promo code?
