Collision/Layer Error
Hey Forum,
Just started using gamesalad today so that may be my solution but I sware I am implementing this correctly.
I have two "actors" with basically the same properties. Every time they hit each other they are both supposed to decrease their "scale" value until ones "width" becomes < 50. When this occurs the actor is supposed to destroy itself and recreate a new body. For example: ballA now turns into ballB.
Either way, only one actor actually performs its collision based task while the other doesn't change at all. The wierd part is when I change the position of the actors in the layer. After putting the actor that "did not change" above the actor that "did change" then the opposite effect occured. After this I realized that whichever actor was higher in thee layer, it would not shrink as desired but once changed (lower in the layer) it would shrink and be destroyed.
Does anybody know why this is happening? And if so could you please guide me in the right direction? I've used corona sdk before and am now trying this software out because of coronas box2d physics engine not giving me what it had to offer so I am aware of game logic. I'm not a total newbie! Haha
