Help! Off-screen actors disappearing?

Hi. I am having a problem with a game I am trying to optimize by removing as much of the spawning element as possible. I did have a spawning actor creating a selection of actors off screen and then they would enter the scene, being destroyed after leaving the scene. In the interest of optimization, I have attempted to line up the actors off screen and have them all activated at once when the scene starts. The problem is that only one of the actors I place off screen enters. Where are the others?!

    Hi kjfluke, are they more than 500 pixels away from an edge of the play area? If so, they get destroyed automatically by the GS engine. Just move them nearer to the outside edges and you should be OK.

    You can increase the size of the scene to see what's going on. Or use display text (or the new debug behaviour in 0.97) so you can see the x and y co-ordinates of your actors.

    Thanks guys. I sounds like it was the problem that gyro said. It doesn't matter anymore, I switched back to spawning! Thanks!
