Taking Advantage Of Device Clock.

With in app purchases and the addition of the device clock naturally I'm looking into creating a tiny tower type game. So the IAP items would be tokens to speed up the wait time. Obviously, like tiny tower, this system is open to cheating by changing the date/time on the device clock thereby avoiding the wait meaning no tokens sold. Can anyone think of a way to combat this in Gamesalad? A way to detect any tinkering of the clock?

ya I was wondering that too

idk if there is a way, but I am not going to use device clock if there is no way to solve this

Maybe set an attribute that stores the current date and time when they press the start button on the app for the first time, and in your code, check to see if the current state of the attribute is before the date set when they first started the game, and if it is, don't allow them stuff.

I was thinking along the same lines. Can't seem to think for ahead of time.

could also try putting a penalty in. not sure how that would work but make it that if they do try to forward their clocks they lose something? maybe their money resets.. im sure that'll help to deter them lol
