you need to get up on testflight. Then you wont have any problem as long as they have an iphone.

Yeah testflight is the best way to go IMO. Some people do have a hard time registering their device though for some reason. Apple does also have an application assistant for Windows that will allow windows users to install adhocs but it is far less user friendly than testflight

so all I do is have my testers create an account and then register their devices and when I distribute a build they get it?

People seem to use the phrase Ad Hoc quite regularly on this forum. What does it mean?

Ad Hoc (please correct me if i'm wrong) means you can send the file to test it on pretty much any ios device as long as you also send along the license file.

I have a question to do with testflight, they ask for an IPA file, where Gamesalad outputs a .app file. How can we get it to output a .ipa file or convert the .app file into a .ipa?

    cheers

Ad Hoc is a final build that is used for testing, but not for distribution. It will give you the most accurate form of the game that will be on the App Store. Even though you can build a test through GameSalads viewer, an Ad Hoc is more accurate to what the final output will perform like when it goes out to the public.

If you make the build an IPA you can send it to people on Windows, yes. They just have to drag and drop it into iTunes.
