Prevent clicking on backgrounds?

I don't think there is, but is there a way to stop from clicking on background images when working on levels?

I have a background image that covers the entire level and if I accidentally click on it its a real pain to deselect it and try again. I've had to resort to adding background images last but then the levels just don't look right as I build them.

Hi richcoy, it is a nuisance, agreed. I often wish there was a way to extend the grey area outside of the screen... maybe one day. A workaround is if you go into the Layers and click on the actor name, it'll be selected that way. (If you double-click, it'll open the Actor Editor).

Yea I have the same problem when doing my fade to blacks and such.. one thought you might also do is 1. make sure it's all the way on the back layer.. the lowest level.. also if you can get away with moving it out of the way to the side but put a rule in there to always move the object to the center of the stage.. so you don't have to keep moving it out and back when you test trying to line it up perfectly..

(gyro you're soooooo right about making the gray off stage space bigger.. how awesome that would be..)
