vaildation failed this game's publishing license is not valid

Hi all,

our game is now finished and ready to upload to the app store. I did so and it was rejected giving the following error message:

vaildation failed this game's publishing license is not valid

I asked the GS help desk their oppinion and Tori got back to me straight away suggesting I delete all certificates, profiles etc and start again making sure I do them all in the correct order.

I did this and published again, this time using an AdHoc distribution profile and attempted to put it onto a device using the AdHoc method (thinking I'd test it before submitting to Apple again).

I got the same error message: vaildation failed this game's publishing license is not valid

Anyone else come across this?

I'm using the free GS 0.9.2 beta being too chicken to upgrade to the newest free or pro version for fear of the game no longer working properly (as I've heard tell can happen).

any assistance gratefully received.

Matt

    Matt,

I don't know much about your specific problem, but I've updated every single time GS comes out with an update and have not had a single problem with my games not working.

If you're scared, try this. Before you upgrade save your game file twice: Game1 and Game2

Upgrade, and open up Game2, leaving Game1 alone. If you find problems with Game2 you can always uninstall GameSalad 0.9.71 and reopen Game1...

Give that a shot and see if it works for ya.

    thanks DrG

just installed the new version of Xcode and whilst it still doesn't work, it has now given me a different error message, which leads me to suspect I might be on the right track.

    Hi matthowarth,
Did you resolve the publishing license is invalid error? I got this error too when after sync the apps into my ipad. Try out many time using different provision profile still not working. I'm using 0.9.2 beta as well. Thinking of upgrading as well.
