Platypussy - Will it be rejected?

Hey guys,

I have almost finished my game where the main character is a platypus. I thought of the name immediately after coming up with the concept and thought it was pretty funny and have been using it all the way through my project. Stupidly I didn't consider Apple's sometimes rather strict rules.

Originally I was using the word as a pun for being cowardly but as you all know it is more often used for another meaning. It won't be too much of a hassle to change it if I have to but I was wondering do you think it will be rejected?

edit - also just to add the game does not contain any sexual content.

    Yea it probably will be. Apple will reject anything that they feel people will be offended by. Then again, they have allowed s-e-x position applications on the store, it's anyone's guess.

    If its rated Right and the name fits the game in a Non-Anatomical way then I don't see any reason why they would. You might get an over zealous reviewer that rejects it but I would appeal it before changing personally

    I think since its an animal name, with a suffix, it should have no problem.

    What about SHITzoo's Mission - (real spelling = shih tzu)?
    Or Turtley?
    Or Elephanty?
    Or Piggy?

    They are all animals with changes to the name so as long as the game content isn't mature, it should be fine.

    Hmm, apple censored a friends podcast *title* because it had the words "Guinea Pig" in it. It was about animals. They censored it because I guess the word guinea is slang for an Italian person in some places. Soooooo. I'm guessing platypussy is not gonna cut it.

    I just did a search for Pussy in the AppStore and found some apps so you should be fine I guess.

    I don't think you will have a problem because there are a lot of pussycat things on the app store.
