Publishing - Why details twice?

Hi
I recently published my first APP and noticed that when you Publish in Gamesalad you can fill in all the details, keywords, screenshots etc about your app, GREAT however once the APP was made into a Binary and I had to upload to APPLE I had to do all the information again, I thought that dong it in GS Publish would carry it over or something.
Why do we need to bother putting it all ito GS if you have to do it all over again when you submit to Apple? or am I missing something here :-) ??
Would appreciate any help on this as about to resubmit after making some changes.
