    Hey there,

Its not how good you are. Its a mix of everything. How long you need around. How active you are in the forums. How much you help out. Stuff like that. I was here a year before i got it.

    Hope that helps

Starcat, in the "cause" of the community, I have amended the wording of your post. Bitchiness/backbiting/snarking/personal attacks against an individual is not welcome in the forums.

I'm not saying that your doing all of those things, I was just speaking generally; your words came across as a personal attack though, to my mind.

If you wanted to highlight an individual, in your case Tshirtbooth, wouldn't it have been better to have said that Tshirtbooth has been amazing for GS and this community with his forum support, templates and in particular the 40,50,60 (however many it is) tutorial videos he has produced that has helped thousands of people?

So OK, I'll put it another way: dissing someone, especially someone who really deserves to be sous chef, isn't right. That's the way I saw it/see it.

There are lots of people who deserve the status of sous chef who aren't - but as has been said many times, that's down to the GS guys to decide; and I guess it's OK for this type of thread to keep popping up every now and then (although this is the second of its type in two weeks or less); OK to ask and discuss but without - what could be seen as - a personal attack on an individual member.

i wasnt dissing anyone.. i was asking why certain people didnt receive the recognition they deserve. or rather how it was attained. i was using tshirt as a symbol of someone who is acknowledged as being good. i havent said a negative thing on this forum.

Some (although deserving) may not want or have the time for the duty as well. Some have even been asked to revoke their status for such reasons.

    Yeah t-shirt!

Hi starcat; apologies, I probably (well, I did) went overboard a bit and read into your words more than was actually there... ( though it does seem to read differently second time around, has it been edited?... ;-)

Although still - best not to highlight another member to compare abilities, if you see what I mean, we're nor competing with each other!

I think I'll keep quite now and keep my opinions to myself in future.
