So now that I bought my iMac...

I wanted to know what is it I will need as tools to start working on developing apps. I already downloaded Game Salad. I been watching some of the cookbooks. I have a 2nd generation iTouch as far as testing and fixing any bugs go.
But will I need Photoshop to create my drawings or a Wacom Tablet to draw them? And creating music for my game what type of software? I'm very familiar with Reason. Also if there is anything on the App. Store I may need that would help cause I got $100 gift card for purchasing the iMac.

Then with Gamesalad you can make games.
How you do music or graphics is up to you.
I PErsonall outsource Music and sounds, and I have a partner that make graphics, and i Code.
Cheerss.
I use Kevin MacLeod's free music--google it--it's in the public domain, meaning you can use it however you like (I usualy credit him, but I don't think it's required). Besides GS, xcode (you'll need $99 for the apple dev subscription), and Inkscape for graphics. It's free.
Good luck on your games. And welcome to being (at least almost) an iOS developer.
Make my own graphics using Photoshop and Illustrator
Animate using After Effects
Record and mess around with sound with SoundTrack Pro
Edit promo videos using Final Cut Pro
Use AppViz to monitor sales with more detail that iTunes connect.
iShowU to record your computer screen for sharing progress videos and making promo videos
Deep Blue Apps collection of tools for improving GS
I figured once I release some free games and get my name out, I would outsource graphics and programming, like what Nicolas does
Also I was thinking about purchasing the App School for $20 that teaches you how to code and publish on the App Store, is it worth it?
