How to transfer rights to another dev

So, someone is interested in one of my apps. I'm wondering how to transfer the rights to him, if he does end up buying the rights to it.

Is there a way Apple can handle this? I know I need to remove it from the store, and then alert Apple that another dev will be registering that name and all--I'm just worried because I don't have the file I sent to Apple--or the GS file. I'm about to download some recovery software to try to find it--but I wondered if there was some other way to transfer the file (or download it from apple, since I lost mine).

As always, any help is appreciated!

Sorry to bump--I can't edit my post: Do I just send him the .ipa file? Would that work? (I'm willing to give him the provisioning profiles and all that with it--so those don't need to be edited).

if it's already in the store then even if u delete it the name can't be re used by another developer

yah just delete the app and send him the file and he will just have to use another name. he can always just add a the in front of the name u used

I can send him the .ipa file? Or does it have to be the GS file--which I think I accidently deleted...

It has to be the project file. The ipa is useless, it's locked to you forever.

    OK. One more lesson learned...

Interesting, I didn't know this. I took over a game that is in the store and thought I could keep the same name. Maybe I will have to add a ! at the end of it.

That may be policy but I don't think its always followed. I could be wrong but wasn't Angry Birds originally published under Chillingo and then when the developer and Chillingo spit its now published by Clickgamer. I don't believe there was any change to the name when that happened. I could be wrong, but don't think so. Then again it is the App stores most popular game so I can see why an exception may have been made. I would follow up with apple though and point out that they have done it before for at least one other dev.
