ok, I am slowly getting used to this forum as well as gamesalad. Gamesalad is a wonderful piece of software and I am glad i found it recently only.

Basically, i am coming from Website and internet marketing side of things.

Now, to begin my iPhone app journey, i bought a game for a member of this forum from another place and put that on app store.

And i am making a new game (completely) new from scratch which I expect to launch this weekend.

I have the following questions..

Q1) Where are the rules of of posting in this forum? I mean what all can you post here? Yesterday i made a post to sell a complete game, which apparently was made form a Template from GS, i was told that i can not sell that game and the thread was closed. So, can I sell full games here which i create using GS (using the template or by creating something from scratch). IMHO a template is something u use to build on it and make your software. I would generally think that you can sell the game you made using a template.

I may be wrong, but if that is not the case how do you stop people selling GS templates and full games (made from templates bought here in gs forum) in other sites?

Q2) I am in need of Marketing Service for my Apps that i create using GS, I want to buy things like, promotional video, reviews, PR etc. Can you time me any pointers on any agency or gs member who can provide those services?

I want to apologize for the post above as i honestly did not know that i am breaking any rules. because i even did not know that this game which I bought from other site was made from a template was not supposed to be resold.

Anyhow, i am not selling this anymore and am looking to buy marketing services. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

You really should check and reply to your posts and if you copy the most successful game made by gamesalad and try to sell it with different photos, and levels do you really not expect gamesalad users to get mad?

I understand your point completely. My bad i did not at all know that the game i bought is based on something very popular as i only recently got started with iPhone things.

Any how, i think i should be more proactive and careful.

i found some companies which promote your app, like they send a Press release, create a video, SEO your app, and submit to review sites, but their prices are too much like $500 - $1000, I am not very sure if there will be some ROI coming in with that kind of an investment. I think i will start by a video and then see. I think its a good business idea to start such a company which provides these service at better rates.

I am thinking of programming process of app submission to review websites. Just like many other online submitters. Will let u know and share things if and when i go that route. Thanks

I personally recommend using prmac. I have used them many times in the past, and they are great. If you do not want to write a press release though, I could write and distribute the release, with a promotional video attached.
