Graphics Packs

I've noticed a few people selling these packs now, here and in other game forums.

Was wondering if there was any decent money in it ( enough to get by on ? ) or whether it just pays 'pocket money' ?

Was also wondering for those that are doing it, whether you registered with paypal as a single person or as a business ?

Thanks.

    Gentle bump... :)

I'm being ignored by the people I wanted to hear from... but would appreciate any advice from anyone else starting up in this area ?

    Hey there,

From my experience, it is not a sufficient way to earn money. You get a little money, but not enough to be very profitable. Developing games would most likely pay a lot more. On PayPal, I am registered as a business, for when I sell promo videos, custom games, etc. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me at redsky@programmer.net

    Good Luck!

I think for the most part no You cannot make a living selling art packs unless you are literally an amazing artist.

I would guess the art packs are a way to show off their abilities, to gain custom work (where the real money is) or its ppl who think they can throw together an art pack and make a fast buck.

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated.

I had sent a pm to Ian from debugdesign, but didn't hear back, at the time he seemed best placed to comment, as he has a lot of graphic packs on his store, so I assumed with the amount he had for sale, he must be selling quite well. ( supply / demand, etc ).
