Hi,
Could you add the option to record the gameplay in the player so we can post videos of our games on youtube. It would be great for promoting games.

Thanks

One option is to use A/V cables going directly from your iPod or iPhone into your computer. I'm thinking you could record into iMovie the game as it plays. From there it's easy to export to the YouTubez!

Of course I've not tried it but.... ya never know. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

There is great screen recording software for Mac called screenFlow. I recommend it.

Or if you have snowleopard you can record the screen using QuickTime. I don't have it but it looks cool. I use camtasia which I got through work.

I've started using GSviewer in the simulator and using the quicktime screen recorder. then in iMovie I can crop the screen so that it only has the iPhone simulator. Works well and is all included in snow leopard

I second that, firemaple. Screenflow is awesome! I'd take the video out of the device via A/V cable and record your screen with Screenflow. There are actually advantages to doing this as opposed to simply recording your gameplay on the phone. Zoom in, crop, add text, darken the screen to highlight an area, editing, fades, export in any standard format, even publish directly to Youtube. Easy $100 to spend if you're planning to make and market a lot of games.

    You gotta watch the video:

That *is* an awesome bit of software!

Not only does it let you define the area you want to record *after* you've made the recording, but it allows you to flip the recording as well.

Which means my vertical shooter, still made in landscape mode, can be recorded!

Though because the mouse pointer doesn't flip, it looks like I'm playing it 'Gangsta' style ;)

    Thanks for the tip!

with screenflow you can hide the mouse cursor. before or after the recording. you can replace it with a variety of things i believe, most commonly a red "target"...

Been just using QuickTime. Just hit the record button and rcord your screen. I'll have to ch k the other suggestions too. The options sound nice.

But yeah would be great in gs.
