Camera Offset with pause scene issue

Hey all!
So, I have a 960X640 scene, and I have it set up (with camera offset) so that when you click around the screen, the hero follows anywhere on the scene. Works great. Then, when the hero collides with the "town" actor, the scene is paused, bringing up the "town" scene, which is also 960X640. I have this setup the same way as the first scene, and the hero can move around the whole scene just fine. Again, works great.
When the scene is unpaused, the original scene is broken. The hero can still move around the 480X320 space, but not around the rest of the scene as before.
I've been dinking around with it, and can't figure it out. Both individual scenes are opened in scene (to access camera origin), and looking at the cam (xy), offsettouch (xy) and destination(xy) attributes, they're working the way they should. Its almost like the control camera behavior breaks.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
