I'll give you props for being your age but have to say you lost my respect when you posted this on your blog.
"Over the past year, I have spent my time practicing basic, & intermediate coding logic over at ; a drag & drop engine used by ‘wannabe game developers’."
You talk about maturity, but you just insulted all those people on this forum who make great games.
I had no idea game salad was for 'wannabe game developers'. I know I'm not a wanna be, I am a game developer.
Good luck...
i know you've already edited this out, but I feel the need to respond on a few points.
I will admit, I am a wanna be game developer. I've put out a bunch of games I am very proud of that I never would have been able to do without GameSalad. I want to make this my career, but I'm not there yet. There are a few people here who have been able to make that switch, thanks to GameSalad. which brings me to my next point:
your comment "I pushed GameSalad to its maximum limit." I don't believe you. firemaplegames, tshirtbooth, quantum sheep, gamesmold... I could keep going. these people push the limits of game salad. they have consistently come up with games that push the boundaries of what gamealad is capable of. I don't recall seeing a single game you published, so I really doubt you have hit the game salad limit.
I wish you the best of luck over at corona. I've been a paid subscriber for almost a year and I'm still getting my feet wet.

Wow here and you had a chance to just walk away and let people think I was an ass to you for no apparent reason.
So let me ask. how does your partner Weswog feel about being a "WannaBe Game Developer"?

You're absolutely right, those members have definitely taken GS to the 'next level'.
When I say this I mean no offense to GS, just stating the truth. I made an app in GameSalad, published it for a while n then took it off. Why? People were making jokes about the loading times...
I spent the remaining eight months here learning game logic, not publishing quick games as a 'kid would' apparently to Uptimistik.

then maybe you could append your blog and mention how you went as far as you could go before hitting a roadblock.
there are some serious performance issues with GS, I've had to shelve a few games because of it, and I've had to look elsewhere to work on those games. But for the most part, there are always work arounds, I rewrote a long way home from scratch 3 times to get around issues.
anyways, people, let's try and keep this on topic. I don't want to close a good bye thread for bad behavior
@NextGen: Life experience DOES in fact count for something. Most people can't figure their sh$@ out untl they're well into their 30's, and that's being optimistic my dear...
@Jon: You've always been one of the best devs here, and A long way home was a marvelous piece of work!
uptimistik said: The fact that my comment went straight over your head is proof enough buddy. Would you like some Trix? Cuz u know, they're for...
I wasn't gonna comment I was just going to let the kid go, GS great forum members are way better off without this guys dramas... But this made me laugh so hard

My partner Weswog is a great friend & I'll support him in anything he does.
Again, I'll refer to my original reply to that on page 1.
Im gonna let him be for the time being and just see how much bigger of a hole he can dig for himself. So go pop another bag.
Cheers, Weswog

I explode when people think they're better then me because of my age. It really wasn't right to bring a factor as stupid as age into this.
Rolled out the handy dandy popcorn machine!
