I need a Mac at work, or at least GSC on Windows

For the next 8+ hours, I'll watch all these posts go by. There are people I want to help, things I want to code, games I want to create, money I want to make.

I'd build a Hackintosh if I had the proper components here. I just hate the idea of it.

Yes, I'm ranting here.

Thank you for listening. Now, please pass this on to five friends or your life will... oops, wrong place.

I think a Mac mini under the desk (or a ventilated drawer) hooked up to the monitors/mouse/keyboard on my desk with a small KVM switch may just work. Been seriously thinking about that!

Well, you can help me, I read the Wiki and How To's a lot, but it leaves a lot to be desired sometimes more on that later, but I'd appreciate any help you could give me if you had time one on one.

For less than $300 you can buy a Dell Mini 10v netbook, and follow these instructions to make it a hackintosh with Snow Leopard: http://gizmodo.com/5389166/how-to-hackintosh-a-dell-mini-10v-into-the-ultimate-snow-leopard-netbook

The 10" screen is a little rough for doing serious GameSalad work on I bet, but it's certainly the closest thing you can get to a cheap, small, portable Mac. Even closer (and cheaper) than the iPad in my opinion.

Is that Dell Mini usable with a KVM switch? Didn't notice any port info but haven't hit the Dell site yet.

Going against my very nature, I picked up iPortable Snow x86 and it's working beautifully off a portable hard drive. I basically got a Mac with GameSalad wherever I go. ;)

Using VNC to remote access a Mac at home would be more ethical, no?

I was thinking about getting rid of my Mac Mini, but then I found out about GameSalad. I actually have a use for my Mac again.

The bandwidth is too poor to watch animation and/or colors, and it doesn't give any sound. Not to mention that I wouldn't be able to send the prototype to my iPhone the way I could with GS and the GS Viewer over Wi-Fi, which I think is now the absolute coolest feature. No more having to compile and upload the file over iTunes or Xcode. I'll set up an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection and just send it over.
