hey everyone, i just re-read my emails and found i'm a Macworld finalist! Yay! You all did great jobs though- keep up the good work!

And with that said, I also finished a major update to my game:
the cat rides the astrobus

changes:
few collision fixes
level mode now up to 23 levels
new "astromode," an "asteroids" type gameplay
new music track
slight performance tweak

known bugs- help if you can!
white cat doesn't work on "astromode" (because I didn't make gfx for it)
controls still funky with jumps (probably can't fix without lots of effort re: physics and gravity)
sometimes doesn't detect collision to trigger ability to jump (GS bug)

    congratulations!
    had the chance of playing the game and it sure is interesting!
    lots of potential on the visual and sound.
    one thing that reeaaaally bugs me is the jump.
    you have to try something with a really fast timer (0.1 or something) > a big boost of accelaration up for the jump > then gravity to bring it down naturally. you can also use the drag behavior to help out gravity hold the cats down.

    Thanks! I was already using that for the jump, but it was accidentally set for much longer than .1, at .4 or something, so now it's changed to .1. hate it when something like that slips by... a simple fix that beats tweaking with gravity and acceleration by a few hours. Also changed the friction integer on some of the blocks which really helped.

    But now it won't let me upload to gamesalad... oh, nope, just did yay!

    Thanks! Most of the graphics were fun to make, it's a good excuse to buy graph paper and look like a dork sitting in a cafe drawing cats. Need to fix the starball though, I never liked anything I did to it...

    Just did another update:

    *Remade the tutorial instructions, now it actually makes sense
    *Added a ton of new music
    *Fixed a few level mistakes, and added stuff to help complete beginners to videogames.

    * Made the game (mostly) .82 compliant! Thanks to the GS team for some great help!
