screen capture / making a video for youtube

Sorry for a very basic marketing question but what does everyone use to take a video of in gameplay and then use it for promotion in youtube

I want to do a video and then put together a promo for marketing of my first game and just some advice would be nice

    I used screenflow to capture gameplay from my desktop. Great program, very easy to use.

    I use Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe After Effects, Snapz Pro X, and SimCap. However, I would be more than happy to make you a video! Here's an example of a little clip I just put together.

    cheers guys - ill look at screenplay first - ive already got adobe premier and next to me in the studio is a guy who uses full avid suite, after effects etc but thank you for your offer redsky - its a nice promo video :-)
