Make sure you can download the app's source code. You want it in your possession in case something happens to the service. There's nothing worse than losing all your hard work.

    Good advice...

    ...but GameSalad doesn't allow exporting.

Hmm As always a bit skewed.

Here's What lead up to the quote you posted…

`I do have one final caution. Be careful when using development services that distribute apps for you. This makes it easier to get your app out there. However, it also means you don't control your app.`

GameSalad also Doesn't distribute your app for you. ;)

Kim Komando is slowly starting to come around to the Mac side. For years, she was a hater.

Really?! Then how would you publish your GameSalad projects if GameSalad shut down tomorrow?

tenrdrmer stop being so confrontational every time you post your just highlighting yourself, photics was merely pointing out something,if we all just accepted everything then nothing would change,i think its a great thing that people point out the flaws in game salad, because when they do, things change.

I agree, if GameSalad went bye bye, so would all of our games. Kind of a scary thought.

Well, I doubt GameSalad is going to go belly-up anytime soon. I mean, lets assume that GameSalad has, maybe 1-2000 people paying for the Pro subscription. That's half -to-one million dollars right there. Of course, I doubt that only 1-2000 people are using Pro. So that's over a MILLION dollars in revenue each year. Of course, maybe I'm completely wrong; maybe there's only 1-200 people paying for Pro. But hey: The fact that we haven't heard anything from Yodapollo or LaurenSalad or CodeMonkey about financial woes means that GameSalad seems to be throwing the bucket around right now. Hoorah!
