art import wonkyness
Hi everyone,
so I've seen this for awhile, but i'm finally getting to a point where it seems to becoming a real problem.
I drag png's into the images area and it seems like a guess as to what will happen.. outcomes i've seen are:
1. project crashes..
2. images import, but don't show.. then i reload the project file and they are there.. but weird because i hadn't saved the project yet so you'd think they would vanish..
3. the images are scaled wrong.. i currently have a bunch of 16x16 pngs that GS wants to make the 3x3 pixels..
the third one is really killing me right now though.. because i have images say.. a full screen image thats 320x480... i set the properties but it ends on the stage as a small file.. and then i scale up but it now looks pixelated.. or the graphic gets cropped on the stage.. its really strange
Please if anyone knows some way to purge / fix these behaviors it would be super helpful because i can't get further if i can't get these graphics to behave as they should.
Thanks!
Caleb

They are still there because when you import it actually copies the image into the Project file Which the Mac see's as a folder so there is nothing to save its there as soon as you import.
Im not sure why the project would crash unless maybe you are on something like a hackintosh or virtual Machine which is always a bit screwy at times.
i have parallels on this white macbook, but obviously i'm not running GS on that.. thats just a bootcamp/xp partition..
Yea maybe the ppi was the cause of the crashes perhaps.. i normally default to 72.. but this art was done by another guy.. in fact the other scaling image was also provided by someone else so it makes a lot of sense.
thanks!
