Can order of layers be changed through logic?

Is it possible to change the order of the layers through logic? Example: Actor is on top layer, collide with this, then change actor to bottom layer.

I found a way around this. Have an actor in scene at the desired layer and when main actor collides with so and such change position of the layer actor to be the position of the main actor. That worked perfectly.
