Saves!!!!!!

Me and a friend are working on an update for an app that is currently on the app store and in this update, we are introducing a new level and we can't save the best score for it. In this game, there are 2 difficulty settings that save your best score in the game. We have been able to save scores for both difficulty settings. We are trying to add one another level to the game and have a separate best score attribute for the level. Whenever we try to save this attribute so when you come back to the game after you quit out of you can see your best score, the score sets itself back to zero. We need help
